Published in Argentina but printed in Spain, each issue of Brigada Secreta featured a novela gráfica based on a crime film. The bold design of these covers (1964-1966) with black and white film images set amidst bright background colors and inventive lettering, gives them a striking mid-1960s modern look, despite the fact that many of the films to which they make reference date back to the hard-edged films noirs of the 1950s.
