With its issue of March 7, 1958, Qui? Détective changed its name and reverted to the magazine’s original title, Détective.  The design of the issue of November 21 added a red banner with the magazine’s name over the original, brown version of title, initiating a design makeover which would take another year to complete.  The back covers for 1958, not reproduced here, consisted of advertisements for crime novels published by the Editions Fleuve Noire, or publicity for gramophones and camera equipment.
